Igor Zhukovsky Memorial

Igor Zhukovsky 1987-2009

Let this page serve as one of many web memorials for someone that was, by far, the funniest Niente Peach. His voice, words, image and creative humor are carried on and preserved in Niente Peaches-a comedy group that he founded in 2007 with his friends Ernie Zahn and Tom Stroll. Together Ernie, Tom and many others keep Niente Peaches alive as Igor’s legacy.

Igor co-wrote Charlie Christ: The Gospel According to Fools and was present for two of the three shooting seasons for the film. We lost our dear friend not a week before the first day of the final season of shooting. The cast and crew understood that this film now has a new and greater purpose. On the day of his funeral, the cast a crew met to discuss the future of the project and it’s new purpose. Tom and Ernie together drafted a mission statement that was signed by all cast and crew, it is as follows:

“It was four years ago when Igor, Ernie and Tom began to conceive of Charlie Christ: The Gospel According to Fools. Although we made substantial progress last summer (Summer 2008) by completing about 60% of the feature film, we have many hours of building sets, costumes, props and shooting ahead of us.

Today we are, presented with a strange, yet compelling mission to finish what has become not just a movie but a final embodiment of Igor’s socio-political awareness and riotous sense of humor. We the undersigned promise to carry on the torch and finish this opus as a memorial to our dear friend. Ernie and Tom appreciate all of those who sign this mission statement. Igor’s spirit may no longer be in the vessel shards of his body and we may not have his last will and testament, but with your help we can make this movie the new vessel for Igor’s voice to speak once more.

Niente Peaches foreva; Live well and Uhhhh…. Fuck Tom Stroll!”

We appreciate you taking the time to read this page. Igor’s Facebook and Twitter pages are still being maintained and you can learn more about that, “socio-political awareness and riotous sense of humor.” You won’t regret reading, trust me! But before you do that, if you could please leave a comment on this page. The comments box is just below and you can use your Facebook account to leave a message. Even if you never met Igor; his family and friends would appreciate any kind of message or well wishing.

Thank You
